Meet Your Coach
Avery Gallahue
Hi! My name is Avery Gallahue, the newest coach here at Athena!
I am a Carlilian (kind of), spending my high school years here involved in varsity volleyball at CHS and club volleyball through Fusion VBC. I helped create these clinics as a way to reach & serve all areas of our community- starting with young girls. This is something I would’ve wanted as a middle school/high school aged athlete in Carlisle and we’re so excited we can provide that for you all. A little more about me:
I played volleyball from middle school all the way through college at the University of Mary Washington (NCAA DIII). I have been working with young athletes for nearly seven years through private lessons, camps, clinics, and club volleyball, and four-plus years learning strength and conditioning for myself. At the University of Mary Washington, we won conference my first 2 years and made it to the Sweet 16 both years too! I wish strength and conditioning would have made a bigger impact on me before college because I, amongst many young women, had a rude awakening as a freshman when I had barely any working knowledge of basic lifting, stretching, or recovery skills. We want to be able to provide that for your girls for not only a bright and healthy future in athletics, but life!!
